The aim of our work was to compare learning dogs search of drugs depending on the breed. In this regard, we have been set:

1. To study the breed features a German Shepherd and Cocker;

2. To determine the effect of breed on the train.

German Shepherd bred in Germany in the second half of the 19th century. The breed is known for its ingenuity, the ability to all types of training, devotion to his master, endurance and visual appeal.

English Cocker Spaniel became particularly popular in the UK, where in 1902 was approved by the breed standard, has not lost its force and now. This is a very hardworking, docile hound has a remarkable flair and clear voice.

Knowledge of breed features of dogs is of practical interest to specialists service dog.

In our studies evaluated the work of the dog when searching for drugs, namely: human sample, sample items, search the site area, the search of the vehicle.

The results of the research, we have identified the degree of suitability of each breed to search for drugs and offer:

– Identify in dogs predisposed to certain types of work and focuses on dog training in this direction;

– Give priority to the Cocker Spaniel, as they are better at working to find drugs.
